Alumni Honorees ( Back to The Top )

The annual Alumni Honoree Program was established to recognize outstanding graduates of the College of Architecture, Planning and Design and to bring them into dialogue with students, faculty and university administrators.

These Alumni Honorees pursue their professions in settings spanning the continent.  Most of their classmates are here in Kansas and the Plains States region, but they too are practicing with private professional firms, working with public agencies, serving as corporate staff members and in myriad other capacities for which their professional education in the College of Architecture and Design helped prepare them.  Through these Honorees, the college celebrates the vital contributions its alumni are making to the preservation and enhancement of our built and natural environment.

ELIGIBILITY- Alumni Honorees must have been awarded their degrees ten years prior to the program year (e.g., the 1998 program recognizes 1988 graduates).

  • Recipients of undergraduate or graduate degrees are eligible; preference is given to undergraduate recipients when possible.
  • Normally, one person from each discipline (i.e., architecture, interior
    architecture, landscape architecture, and planning) is selected each year.

Faculty in the department select their Honoree.  Selection of Alumni Honorees is based on:

  • Academic performance while a student;
  • Extracurricular achievement and contributions while a student;
  • Professional growth and achievement; and
  • A record of interest in and support to KSU and the
    college since graduation.
